'If I Were a Butterfly'

Dearest Ruby,
       Mummy has just started taking you to Baby Ballet and apparently you so enjoy it. You definitely have a natural ability to dance to the rhythm of the music. So, I had an idea for when you next came round and have rediscovered a song that Mummy so loved to dance and do the actions to, when she was a little girl. I have even found some butterfly wings for you to wear for fun and can take home with you.

So, today was the day for our little bit of 'fun-time', and the sun is shining.

Oh, you like your butterfly wings.

I love your summer sandals. They so suit the part.

  So, here we go with,

'The Butterfly Song'

If I were a butterfly
I'd thank you Lord for giving me wings
If I were a robin in a tree
 I'd thank you Lord that I could sing
If I were a fish in the sea
I'd wiggle my tail and giggle with glee
But I just thank you Father for making me, me

CHORUS
For you gave me a heart and you gave me a smile
You gave me Jesus and you made me your child
And I just thank you Father for making me, me

If I were an elephant
I'd thank you Lord by raising my trunk
If I were a kangaroo
You know I'd hop right up to you
If I were an octopus
I'd thank you Lord for my fine looks
But I just thank you Father for making me, me

If I were a wiggly worm
I'd thank you Lord that I could squirm
If I were a fuzzy, wuzzy bear
I'd thank you Lord for my fuzzy, wuzzy hair
If I were a crocodile
I'd thank you Lord for my great smile
But I just thank you Father for making me, me

 ~~~~~~~~
Down the garden, dancing to the music
We are following close behind, singing along with you.
Round in a circle....
oops, you are getting a little dizzy...
Look, Mummy is joining in :-)
Back on the garden path...
Definitely enjoying this.
     Well, you are off to your Ballet class now Ruby. Have fun !!
Love and hugs,   Nana x
