Godington Park Sculptors Exhibition

Dearest Ruby,
We have been out for the day with Mummy and Grandad. We went to Goddington Park. For the most part you had a nap. That is until tea time when you had cake as big as the rest of us!
Anyway, although you were asleep, we did enjoy a walk round the gardens.

They had a Sculptors Exhibition on. Here are some pictures we took of the pieces we most liked.

Red Hot Poker

Dragonfly

Toadstools

Dragon

Dandelion Seedheads

Ram

Seedhead

Relaxation in the sun.

We gathered ideas for your garden Ruby as we particularly liked the simplest of pieces. Two or three small trees had many glass squares hanging from their branches, constantly moving in the breeze. They were of all different colours and patterns.

Then there were rows of glass triangle bunting adorning the fruit trees in the kitchen garden. They were really effective.

I'm not sure I would know how to make these Ruby, but it certainly gives us food for thought and inspires us to get creative.

One last picture to remember a very happy afternoon. Doesn't Mummy look lovely! - ready for a cool drink and cake in a very nice tearoom. Are you coming?

Love and hugs,   Nana x
